Jaceycraft: October 2014
http://jaceycraft.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2014. You may have already seen the new Handcrafted. Line from Alison Glass. If you haven't, take a look:. I'm in love. These fabrics are so rich and are lovely to work with. I made a Datura blouse. Using Petal in Eggplant. For those of you keeping count, that's my fourth Datura. I sort of love that pattern. I helped Alison at quilt market this past weekend, and I learned a lot from her on booth building and other topics. Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Color makes me happy. I especiall...
Jaceycraft: March 2015
http://jaceycraft.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. I haven't made an honest WIP list in several months, and I know the list is long these days. I'm okay with it, though. I know my interest in a project sometimes fades or needs to simmer, and that feels more natural than forcing myself to work on something when I don't want to do so. That being said, I've got three WIPs to share today. And it was in my queue for ages. Lastly, entirely inspired by Charlotte. A new quilt project. After seeing her finished Magic Stars. A traveling qui...
Jaceycraft: January 2015
http://jaceycraft.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 26, 2015. I had a second quilt pattern published in Quilt Now. Churn dash blocks are a dear favorite of mine, and I just love how scrappy this version is. I chose a limited palette but used a heavy bundle of different prints from the stash. I quilted it with simple wavy lines, and used the solid corners for a little arc action. I can't wait for this one to come home. You can still find Issue 5 of Quilt Now at Pink Castle Fabrics. And Fat Quarter Shop. Thursday, January 22, 2015. And I'm u...
Jaceycraft: June 2015
http://jaceycraft.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 10, 2015. I shared a quilt top. I really can't tell you how much I loved this quilt top. Maybe it's because I made it among friends at a small retreat in the woods. Or maybe it's because fabric is a medium for time travel, each scrap reminding me of a project (or multiple projects) made before. Maybe it's because it's super colorful and scrappy, and that's the way to my heart. Use painter tape as a quilting guideline, inspiration struck. And it is beloved. Color Me Retro line. I talked a ...
Jaceycraft: Again with the indigo
http://jaceycraft.blogspot.com/2015/07/again-with-indigo.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. Again with the indigo. I just got back from Wisconsin, where I was able to join some good friends for a sewing weekend in the country. This is my third year to participate, and it's always a very happy time. I don't think I shared it last year, but here's my post from our first year. If you'd like to know more. It's always fun, and one of the simplest natural dyeing processes. I used rubber bands to resist this piece of fabric. And here is the group photo from our first year.

Drop me a Line. A cuppa and a catch up. Tea craft = bliss. August 26, 2011. A little needle book made from scrappy treasures with some linen love, much like the one I made before. In the Umbrella Prints challenge. It’s got little pockets for packets of needles, threader or wot nots and a piece of felted wool blanket to tuck needles into. These birdies are heading south. Loosely based on the shape of this needle case tutorial. Snippets of fabrics include Aunty Cookie Papercuts. August 26, 2011 at 10:32 am.

Nana McIntyre - Quilt in Progress — Tales of Cloth
http://www.talesofcloth.com/2015/08/nana-mcintyre-quilt-in-progress.html
Nana McIntyre - Quilt in Progress. August 6, 2015. What do you mean, 'squeeze it in? How much time do you think you have? I laughed as I realised the answer. Five years. By the age of twenty five, I needed to have succeeded in all the areas of life that were important to me so that I could be ready for my life to end. Not with death. With marriage, kids, bills, responsibilities. Were we silly having a third? Should I demand a week to myself to work, like Tim gets once a month? July 17 Darcy @ Modern Cozy.

I sorta chose 21 colors instead! Sweet lady that she is, Beth went along with my pull! Did you know she carries ALL KONA COLORS? Yeah, me either! I am so in love with this quilt. Did for us here! We had our second ultrasound and it's a girl! A squirmy, wiggly little girl who already appears to be talking with her hands. (I'm sure I don't know where she gets that! My adventures in earth-friendly quilting and other happenings in life}. Monday, November 4, 2013. Baby steps to a finished quilt. I'm still chugging along on my Marcelle Medallion. Since my last update I managed to add the flying geese, cut, piece, and add the brick border, pick out fabrics for the next border, and organize stuff for the crosses (border after the next border)! Plus, I made a Halloween costume before. If only I could get some pictures and write real posts about all of that! Somewhere Wher...

House of Bad Cats. Saturday, January 3, 2015. Happy New Year 2015! It's that time of year again folks, where many of us set goals to achieve throughout the upcoming year. Here's mine for 2015. you'll see some that carry over from 2014, because i did not succeed in achieving them last year, and some new ones as well! I'm breaking them down into categories again, as that worked well for me last year. 1 make maximum contributions to pre-tax retirement funds. 1 get back down to 140 lbs or less. February 11, ...

Thankful for the way the new weather app tells you the sunrise and sunset times. It's the only way I can tell that the days are getting longer, and I really appreciate that! Sunday, March 25, 2018. Over the past week, several older projects got a little attention. I started making Glitter blocks back in 2015, from Jen Kingwell's book. I am still trying to decide how to proceed, but I'd like it to be at least 60" square. My heart is telling me to add a little more scrappiness, so we will see! The spool pattern is from Liberty Love. Finally, the three recipes we tried this month are all from Bon Appetit. Chicken Khao Soi. And a roasted chicken with lemon and garlic. I didn't i...
