My Jaw Surgery Journey

I had upper and lower jaw surgery on May 25, 2010. Yes, I agreed to have my jaw bones sawed apart, and reset into a properly functioning bite. My top braces went on in July 2008, and the bottom braces went on Jan 2009. It took me a YEAR of reading and researching to come to the realization that I if I ever wanted to bite and chew food like a normal person, then this surgery really was needed (as I was told in my first consult w/the orthodontist. My Jaw Surgery Journey. Saturday, August 28, 2010. Also, Dr Q got my mouth to open to 34 mm which is 4 mm more that the last time! I was completely surprised, because I didn't think I had improved from the last appt since I was a bit more tense due to things at work this past week. That Flexeril must be helping!
