Peters Cattle: Husker Harvest Days
http://peterscattle.blogspot.com/2013/09/husker-harvest-days.html
Sep 13, 2013. The other day, I realized I haven't made any posts in a long time. The summer was packed full of everything from fairs and 4H projects, to wheat harvest, track meets, vacations, lego building, checking cows, haying and the Kansas State Fair. Time flies when you're having fun! This was Charlie's favorite tractor at the show. He is in awe with the track system. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Peters Cattle: Fat Cattle
http://peterscattle.blogspot.com/2013/05/fat-cattle.html
May 10, 2013. Most years we send our cattle to the feedlot and feed them out there. This year we decided to keep the light end and feed them ourselves. They went to Creekstone and the grade report was excellent! I included a few shots I was able to take before they went. Jamie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Peters Cattle: Checking Cattle
http://peterscattle.blogspot.com/2013/05/checking-cattle.html
May 20, 2013. Sunday afternoon we checked on the heifers. The weather forecast called for severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings. These girls were camping out on top of the hill. They had a pretty view. Charlie was enjoying the moment as a group of heifers were checking him out. This brave sole came out of the pond to see what we were up to. He had another one check him out from behind. When she touched him, it scared them both. Charlie was able to find Candy's calf. She is getting all grown up now.

Peters Cattle: November 2012
http://peterscattle.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Nov 12, 2012. Dad's 23 Pointer Monster Buck. Jon Wolf knew this buck well. He had trail-cam pictures. He’d heard stories from neighbors. He’d even had the buck under his stand once and been unable to shoot. But on Oct. 31, given a second chance at this Henry County(Illinois) 23-pointer, Wolf made the most of his opportunity. Out on the alfalfa field, the girls are happily spread out and grazing. I choose to walk along a cow path for easy walking until it veers away from the outer perimeter. The dogs,...

Peters Cattle: Grandpas headboard
http://peterscattle.blogspot.com/2013/05/grandpas-headboard.html
May 20, 2013. I made some modifications to a headboard my Grandpa Wolf had built some time ago. He had some magazine racks and hooks attached to it. I removed them, adjusted the shelf on top so the headboard could be flush with the wall. Next, I sanded and stained it in aged oak. Then added the leather upholstery and finishing tacks. I think it turned out well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ryan- peterscattleco@gmail.com Jamie- lazyjpbar@gmail.com. View my complete profile. A Soft Place to Land.
