Jackie was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia about 6 years ago. This condition is also known as Frontal Temporal Dementia. Although considered dementia, this is not Alzheimer's disease. It affects the frontal lobes of the brain. As a result, Jackie's ability to communicate has been affected and she can no longer speak. She still knows loved ones for which we're thankful. She is now in end stage dementia and under the care of hospice in her own home.

Jacqueline B. Romann. Saturday, July 3, 2010. June 21, 1931 - July 1, 2010. Our mom is now in her glorified body, leaving behind the one that somewhat imprisoned her for so long. She is in the presence of Jesus with our Dad. We know that this day was coming for a long time and we are so thankful for her steadfast confidence she had in her Savior, however, it continues to be a challenge to hold back the tears. An obituary will be the next post along with details of a memorial service.
