A visual identity for Brianna Read, a local knitting machinist. The creative direction is strongly inspired by the old machine manuals back in the heyday. The cards double as both business cards and order tags for her customers. Printed by Dawn Press. BACK TO TOP ↑.

Newer posts →. Iran: glass and ceramics. November 24, 2013. One of a series of photo-based posts documenting a trip that my mum and I recently took to Iran. My excitement at being in that beautiful country meant that I sometimes missed the details in our guides talks, so apologies for any incorrect info or mislabeling of photos! After flying into Tehran, we spent our first day wandering the streets surrounding our hotel, which encompassed the wonderful Abgineh Museum of glassware and ceramics. Cut-glass ...

http://mary-marymac.blogspot.com/2015/08/dog-walks.html
Musings about various textile techniques I dabble with. And other stuff. A bit of a visual diary actually. Friday, August 7, 2015. After handing in my work I feel a little lazy, not all that creative. It is also winter and we have had some cold and damp days - not enough to keep us inside all the time … because we have a dog! Who likes to go out every day. The first thing I saw, once we got near the old house, was this wonderful old oak tree. I did meet someone lately who volunteers at the Botanic Garden...

We have had the last class for out design course and now it is time to be working on exhibition pieces. The work all has to be handed in on August 2nd and then there will be an exhibition in September. Recently, I have been playing around with ideas for artist books. (It was one of the homework tasks.). I played around with some paper vari...

Musings about various textile techniques I dabble with. And other stuff. A bit of a visual diary actually. Thursday, July 16, 2015. The online group that I am a member of has a yearly exhibition. This year's theme is My Place. The tapestries have travelled safely around Australia and New Zealand and came to Victoria this month. They are on display at the Handweavers and Spinners Guild. In North Carlton, until July 25th, when they will be taken down. Unfortunately, three of them have gone missing! Textile...

Musings about various textile techniques I dabble with. And other stuff. A bit of a visual diary actually. Sunday, September 28, 2014. Still seeing lines, even when not trying to. Yesterday was the Grand Final of the AFL. And my team was playing. We were lucky enough to be able to queue for tickets on the morning, in case there were some seats left. So we got up early and caught the first train in! We got in. We were in our seats by 8.30. The stadium was empty and looking pristine. These pictures remind ...

Musings about various textile techniques I dabble with. And other stuff. A bit of a visual diary actually. Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Online tapestry group challenge - My Place. Despite all the interruptions, I have finally finished my small tapestry for the online group challenge. I posted it today - hooray! I read K Spoering's blog. About her artwork, mainly tapestry, and she has posted. But that I had made in desperation. I had started weaving using the original designs. Lately I have just ma...I dec...

marymac: Changing light
http://mary-marymac.blogspot.com/2015/07/changing-light.html
Musings about various textile techniques I dabble with. And other stuff. A bit of a visual diary actually. Saturday, July 11, 2015. I have posted about the tree. Outside our place a few times, I think. Yesterday I took some more photos, about 10 minutes apart, because the light was changing and the tree looked great. It ranged from white to orange to pink. It was odd that the tree looked darkest in the middle of the day while the more glowing photos were taken just before sunset. 8593; Grab This.

Musings about various textile techniques I dabble with. And other stuff. A bit of a visual diary actually. Friday, January 30, 2015. My local tapestry weaving group met last weekend. We hadn't expected to as it was the weekend of Australia Day but most of us were not going away and the guild rooms were open. So we met. It isn't going to be very big and I had a small piece already on the loom, so I am doing it on top of that. Still haven't found them. Thursday, January 29, 2015. Now it is rather slow and ...
