Wednesday, July 17, 2013. An exciting night for Avery! Avery swam in her last meet of the season against the Grafton Dolphins. We will be in Nags Head for the next meet. She felt confident enough to dive off the blocks and it made a huge difference! She shaved another 7 seconds off her time, clocking in at 41 seconds! She has improved by 24 seconds since the beginning of the season. Coach Sydney (beside Avery), has been phenomenal! She encourages Avery and takes extra time with her. Monday, July 15, 2013.

Monday, March 24, 2014. Avery spoke very clearly into the microphone. She was very precise with her movements and seemed calm on stage. She loved every minute of this. Sunday, October 5, 2014. Mamie and Pappy's Visit. Mamie and Pappy came to visit this weekend and we've been busy. We began Saturday morning watching Avery and her cheer squad cheer for the Seahawks, then we rushed to field hockey. Avery had her best field hockey experience yet. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. As swim team was wrapping up, we heard about a cheer camp run by the high school cheerleaders and Avery was all in! She was especially thrilled that the kids are invited to cheer at a high school game this fall. After camp on Monday, Avery was ecstatic, big bows and all. Sooooo, we signed up for fall cheerleading with parks and rec. We signed up on the last day of registration and practice began tonight! Kristen, Gary, Andrew and Avery. Tuesday, December 24, 2013. It was magical. Avery watched as Santa read Andrew's letter. Andrew thanked Santa for sending an elf to our house this year. Sunday, October 27, 2013. What an unbelievably exciting day! We left the house about 8:00 AM for a one-day tournament in Chesterfield, VA. We knew that there would be two games with a possibility of three. And, we knew that we would be playing local rivals - The Volcanoes. Friday, April 25, 2014. Today we took a day trip to Jamestown with Melissa, Cameron and Kate. Cameron and Andrew are learning about Virginia History in 4th grade and so this trip was in order - especially since Andrew recently had an AHA! Monday, September 30, 2013. While Andrew and Gary were at baseball on Sunday afternoon, Avery I headed to Belvedere for some pumpkin patch fun. Monday, June 23, 2014. Virginia Beach Baseball a Bust. Last weekend we had a baseball tournament in Virginia Beach. Perfect opportunity to head to our favorite summer spot - the beach! We went down early on Friday morning and spent the whole day on the beach. The water was a perfect temperature and everyone went in to jump the waves and swim.
