January 23rd, 2010. 2 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers. 3 Tbsp. sorghum or cane syrup (corn syrup in a pinch). 2 Tbsp. cocoa. 1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar. 1 cup ground walnuts (I use black walnuts). 1/4 cup dark rum. Add cocoa to syrup and mix until blended. Blend in sugar and rum. Add vanilla wafers and mix partially. Add walnuts and mix until completely blended. Roll into 1″ balls. Place in tin on wax paper and let age for two weeks. Makes about 16-20 balls.

October 18th, 2014. 1 Tbsp butter or bacon grease. 2 pinches baking soda. About 2 Tbsp boiling water. You can make oatflour by grinding rolled oats in a coffee mill. Add boiling water to butter and let melt. Mix dry ingredients and add to melted butter mix. Adjust liquid or oatflour amount to get a mixture that is not sticky, but still wet enough to not crumble.
