Saturday, May 31, 2014. Five is a handful! On Memorial Day, I took the challenge to try to take my kids' pictures. I had forgotten the work that this entailed. Its quite the job to get five children to look at the camera. Without making a funny face,. Or standing funny,. Or even pouting, all while focusing and working the camera. But the one picture that is nice is worth the 335 others. AHowever, the "outtakes" show lots of personality, so I usually keep them too. I guess they didn't think I was serious. It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world. But today it's my world. The Art of Legos. While in Topeka, we went to the Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University to see an exhibit that used Legos as the medium. We all love Legos. And it was fun to see what could be made with these little plastic blocks. Hazel thought it was fun to either copy the pose of the piece or react to it. Cool mosaic. Afterwards there were Legos to play with. I think it was the kids favorite part. You all seem to be having a fine time anyway!

While Drew was off at our church's Forts and Floats event, Audrey had the opportunity to attend a cheer camp put on by the Newberg high school cheerleaders. They practiced for 5 hours on Saturday!
