Since we got married I've been saying that I'm going to get this blog started and since we're coming up on our 9 month anniversary I think it's time to finally get down to it. We then sat at a little table he had set up and had chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cider, you could say he knows me really well. Then came all the wedding preparations which Jacob absolutely LOVED! August 1, 2014 we were sealed in the Boise, Idaho temple.

Sunday, December 4, 2011. The last few years we have had Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's house with many other people. We have enjoyed these visits for the friendship, laughter, and good food. But this year Hailey asked that we stay at home for the holiday. She missed our traditional dinner and our family time together. After dinner we bundled up and grabbed our sleds to go burn off some calories. Walking up this hill takes a lot of effort but Nate didn't mind it all. He went repeatedly.

Monday, April 16, 2012. Nate's big sister came to be with him on his special day. We appreciated the opportunity to spend time with her and recognize the sacrifice of leaving her own family for a few days to do it. The baptism was a wonderful experience. The water was freezing and each child gasped as they stepped into the font. But there was a sweet spirit felt throughout the service that more than warmed them after their baptism. So on a recent trip to Fairbanks we stopped and panned for gold. The mosquito's were out in swarms, but the weather was perfect and it seemed to cure Nate of his gold fever.
