Monday, June 13, 2011. July 8- To Pamplona for San Fermin. We walked all afternoon, checking out the town. There was a monument of bulls and runners dedicated to those men who had lost their lives in the past hundred-something years during the run. We also tried to see 2 churches and a cathedral. The cathedral there was under renovation too! In the evening we made the decision to cough up some more money and see the bullfight. I am so glad we did! Thursday, June 9, 2011. Mark was comforting and reassuring.

Friday, July 16, 2010. July 4- Mark Jessup Arrives. I woke up promptly to get Mark around 8. When he wasn’t there, it took me til 9, after much confusion and worry, to check my email on a public computer to find his train had been delayed til 1120. The hurricane had changed his flights and I had not seen Mark or Katie’s emails informing me of two changes. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. June 27- Ferias y Fiestas de Segovia. Although I set an alarm for it, I did not get up to watch the sun rise over Segovia. I found out when I did awake that this was best because the sun did not rise in a viewable spot. Also the skies were cloudy today. Upon departing my pension, I walked up through the town back to Plaza Mayor for some coffee and orange juice. I should note that all the orange juice in Spain served in restaurants is freshly squeezed. Only on Sundays is it free.
