Thoughts / Fragments / Experiments. In February, I recorded the resonant buzzing of an electrical generator in the basement of the New Wing at Somerset House. Below is a short study based on the hypnotic, pulsing sound generated. This was created as part of a series of short drones. Inspired by these dense textures, I’ve turned the piece into a graphic score, splitting the different layers of sound into three levels, each with a distinct visual (and sonic) character. Spanning six floors on the west side of the courtyard, the wing was previously occupied by the Inland Revenue. As soon as you step into the depths of the building, the buzz of electrical generators, rumbling of traffic above and hissing of heating pipes wraps around you, so that the outside world almost seems to disappear into the background, blocked by thick stone walls. Tex Site Studio och Photoshop. Jag praoade på Ports. I två veckor och under den tiden har jag fått en bra bild av hur det ser ut i det riktiga arbetslivet!
