Well if it wasn’t real before, it sure as heck is now. I’m now officially in my first state (other than Oregon). Spent the night at an antelope refuge campground, and one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a while. Something about the change of pace, change of scenery, and an awesome truck bed! Well, just a hop, skip, and a whole lot of driving and I’m back. I’ll figure out something to do with my pictures (working on it), but figured I should do some type of, ohh yeah, by the way, the trip was pretty cool post. Since the last post, I did manage to get down to Florida. I kept it quick, saw some cool forests, snakes, big ass spiders, and yes, an alligator. These two are up in northern Florida). Not saying I didn’t have some more experiences along the way:. I felt all American in South Dakota.

Time to really start pretending I’m a gear head. Hey, fake it till you make it right? There are some interesting quirks going on with the way Mongoose is starting up and idling, so I think my starting point is to open up the carburetor and make sure there isn’t any funny business going on in there. Behold, the Carburetor. My solution to this… steal the other carburetor from Gray (that thing is going to be pretty bare bones when I’m done). As most people who have talked to me about this trip know, I didn’t have a whole lot of plans going into this thing besides the direction of east. And how my mind anticipated the completion of that goal? I headed to Tybee island (about 20-30 min out of Savannah) and found it, the Atlantic ocean.
