Guardian – Adele Sakoda Art

The composition of this painting keeps my eye moving, so many triangles and directional lines. The javelin thrust of the chopsticks, the virile bull, give it such a masculine energy. The marble carving stands guard, a silent and strong protector, animal of myth and power. July 26, 2013. July 24, 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Pearlescent – Adele Sakoda Art

So happy this little painting was purchased fresh off the easel. The vase was such a challenge and pleasure to paint with all the colors shimmering off the surface like a soap bubble’s skin. I want to paint not just for myself, but for others. Thankful to get this kind of encouraging feedback. Every artist needs motivation to push through the struggle and slumps that inevitably happen.
