In which Alien and the Girls become ‘Soulmates’. In Notes On Films. On March 8, 2014. Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers. Was certainly one 2014’s most divisive films, lauded and loathed in equal measure. Some found it provocative, others called it puerile. For me, it was a superbly hypnotic and immersive cinematic experience, and at the center of the film were 2 of the most memorable scenes of the year, one segueing into the other seamlessly. 8220;You like it? Only things are so much different when you’re younger. The cocoon of your family makes you feel protected even at the crack of dawn, when everything is silent. You can probably hear that one chirp.
