Able to separate them. Subdues this uncertain life. With a constant love. Her daughter dances with her. Her son seeks her warm embrace. She'll love them beyond. The ends of eternity. This is their mother. Who once held them in her womb. Who holds them now in her arms. They’ll never outgrow. The size of her beating heart.

A collection of my poems, reflections, and thoughts since 2006. Monday, April 14, 2014. Like so many leaves scattered by the wind. I had been trying to find my pieces of mind. And reassemble them back to normalcy. Back to some cohesive construction. Of my native soul. How was I to know? I had believed that I stood as ancient stone. My own ego against the seasons of life. Blowing around me and through me. Shifting the ground beneath my feet. How was I to see? I could not know, or see, really only feel.

My wife waited until the week before Thanksgiving in November and flew to Africa once more. Mom had her received her visa, bags were packed, and finally after all that time… after all the paperwork, expenses, and physically flying between two continents three times in as many months, she arrived. The Ghost of Electricity. Tuesday, August 16, 2005. You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. The trees are pushing up into the fog. It looks like their heads are cut off. The fog is pushing down to the ground. The world seems pretty pissed off. There’s blood on the road here most of the time. There’s people yelling out in the night. There’s women sitting next to their telephones. Waiting for the ringer of fright. Sometimes I wonder what it’s all about. This addiction to power and fame.
