Musings on a mom's fitness journey. Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Need a new Power Song. One cool little trick my snazzy ipod/nikeplus pedometer allows me to do is set a "Power Song". This is the song I can call on during a run for some added inspiration by just holding the center button of my ipod for a couple seconds. Right now, I'm almost embarrassed to say, that my Power Song is currently set to Jesse McCartney's "Leavin'". 1 Eye of the Tiger. 3 Here it Goes Again. 6 Till I Collapse. 8 Remember the Name.

I didn't get out on to Harbor Bay Drive until 9 AM. By that time temperatures could be high 70s in Scottsdale. I only ran 30 minutes so we wouldn't miss the Sheraton's Breakfast Buffet. It may just be the end of those 90 degree dawns and I can finally run in decent weather. I went from running 50 miles in June to just 12 in July. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing in the pool as far as sets but a plan never hurts (in theory). The ladder was a 50, 100, 150, 200, 150, 100, 50 with a 10-15 second rest interval. Life on the Roads. The Trials and Tribulations, Failures and Successes of a runner. Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Tonight is an easy recovery night. After dinner, I plan on spinning easy on the recumbent bike. My legs need a break after my tempo workout yesterday in order to get ready for my speed work out on Thursday. My tempo run consisted of 2 miles at 7:30 pace with .5 warm up and cool down followed by some stretching. Monday, November 9, 2009. I'm back to full blown training mode and it feel GREAT!
