Sunday, November 30, 2014. I’m back with another page of digital “art.” This time it’s actually a scrapbook page! Credits: Dawn Inskip,. Collection; Manuela Zimmerman,. Sound of Music;. About half way through, I realized that I could use this for The Digi Dares Dare #392. The dare requirements are (1) use a layout that goes from edge to edge. Check. (2) use paper strips. Check (although I used just one, it counts! Web site and read the comments for Dare #392. Links to this post. Sunday, November 23, 2014.

From the Basement: February 2015

Thursday, February 26, 2015. Dear Little Blog,. So, here we are – more than a month since my last post! When I started writing, this little blog was all about making dolls and sewing and happy crafty endeavors. Then we shifted into quilting and sewing little bits of fabric together to make bigger bits. And now, I am moving into a more artistic phase. I am doing an awful lot of work on my computer, as well as on paper. And I find myself “scrapping” photos – something I. I would never do! From the Basement: Done is Better than Perfect
http://newsfromthebasement.blogspot.com/2015/07/done-is-better-than-perfect.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. Done is Better than Perfect. I thought I’d jump in here and show you that I have actually been doing some sewing. And I have a finished quilt top to show for it! You know how bloggers show a picture and say that it looks crooked because of the camera angle? Well, this quilt looks wonky because it is! It will present a real challenge for “quilting out the bumps” as they say. But that particular headache is for another day, because this one was its own headache! I was really disguste...

Monday, September 29, 2014. One last thing added to my polymer clay project before putting it aside for a couple of days. I’ll bet the guesses will be closer this time! This is the project that is taking my time for a few days. Paper piecing with a difference – I am drafting my own pattern. Oh Boy – is this a lot harder than I thought it would be! I have found a whole new respect for people who draft this type of pattern! Links to this post. Saturday, September 27, 2014. Not Sitting on My Thumbs. The cos...

From the Basement: Summary Review for May –er- June?
http://newsfromthebasement.blogspot.com/2015/07/summary-review-for-may-er-june.html
Saturday, July 4, 2015. Summary Review for May –er- June? For weeks now I have been thinking of showing what I’ve been up to. May was an exciting month, but somehow yet another month has passed by! What is the matter with me that I can’t seem to post anything? Well, some of it is that the photos are all on the laptop downstairs, while most everything else is upstairs. But, let’s get real here. It’s a LAPTOP! Can you say portable? Never mind. Let’s see what I’ve been doing for two months:. If you’ve...

Monday, March 17, 2014. Journal Pages to Share. Back in January, I mentioned joining the Art Journal Caravan (see this. Post) This is proving to be a lot of fun, and I am learning a lot. I’m also spending a lot of time working in my graphics software. I thought maybe you would like to see some of the pages I’ve created. This month the theme is “Imagination.” And what fun it is proving to be! Another one is “Growing old may be mandatory, but growing UP is optional.”. Links to this post. Links to this post.

Sunday, May 25, 2014. My new friend and I are still debating clothing options, but in the meantime, my hands have not been idle! These are pincushions I’ve made for my quilt guild’s sale next month. They are all made from “orphan” blocks. That is, quilt blocks that were left over from another project . . . or the ones that did not turn out right . . . or the ones where I misread the directions. LOL! But the cool thing about these pincushions? I make them sound very impressive, don’t I? Links to this post.
