Nomadic Smitties: August 2010
http://smithnomads.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 22, 2010. This post has been in the works for months, but I usually get kicked off the internet or frustrated with my incredibly slow computer, so I never finish it. But today I was bound and determined to post! Back in April, we were able to take the kids to Disneyworld! It was such a fun experience! The kids really lived it up and had a great day, every day! Day one: check out this hotel! This is the courtyard outside our room. Lots of wishes were made in this fountain :). Ahhh, the pool!
Nomadic Smitties: September 2009
http://smithnomads.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 20, 2009. Wheeler's Farm - still catching up! I don't think I have been to Wheeler's Farm since junior high when I used to go to the barn dances and the haunted woods! It was so fun to take the kids there with my favorite dancer friends! The kids had a lot of fun playing with the other kids and seeing the animals. Thanks Wendy, Sarah, and Kenlee for meeting me, it was so great to see you and your adorable kids! Araleigh LOVES animals, but she especially loves. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Nomadic Smitties: fun with aunt bug
http://smithnomads.blogspot.com/2011/07/fun-with-aunt-bug.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. Fun with aunt bug. One of the biggest highlights of 2010-11 was having Talysa (aka "bug") live with us. It was the best! We all absolutely loved having her here and we were all so devastated when she moved back to Utah! The kids had so much fun playing with her every day. Araleigh loved shadowing her "best friend" all the time. I am on a mission to get her to move back to Chicago, or wherever we live at any given time! I miss having her here every single day! Spring break in SLC.
Nomadic Smitties: Washington, DC
http://smithnomads.blogspot.com/2011/07/washington-dc.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. Oct 2010, we had a few days off from school so we decided to take another quick trip to the nation's capital to see a little more than the previous 5 hours we spent there! It was a great trip and while we certainly didn't see everything, we did see a lot of great things! The kids are really into historical things and places and they loved learning about our country! And book them several weeks in advance.oh, well, it was still cool to see it. They were just "drawn" to it! The littl...
Nomadic Smitties: January 2010
http://smithnomads.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. Some fun pre-Christmas pictures that I enjoy looking at:. At "Winter Wonderland" at Navy Pier - the kids were pretty ticked that I made them pose - they just wanted to go ride the rides (it's a big, indoor carnival). Putting up the Christmas tree! Every year I swear I am going to just go get a pre-lit tree, but what fun would that be? My kids love sorting the color-coded branches and putting up the tree themselves! Really, they were having fun, I swear! Look at how cute she is!
Nomadic Smitties: May 2010
http://smithnomads.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 17, 2010. And now on to Easter. So we had the annual Easter egg hunt at the park, which Jake was able to join in the final minutes of his trip here! It was rainy but the kids still had a great time and found plenty of eggs! Then on to the Easter basket hunting! As usual the Easter Bunny was a little easier on Araleigh, as she found her basket first. Traeden found his next, which leads us to. Jaxon's annual grouchy "I'm never going to find it! But what do you know, there it was! And of course ...
Nomadic Smitties: October 2010
http://smithnomads.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 28, 2010. Just some quick photos of the boys' baseball parade, because it was a really fun experience for them. This is Traeden's team - he is #11 - he was too busy dancing to notice me so I don't have a good shot of his face :(. There was an official flag ceremony, then they dedicated the new baseball park. The highschool band and colorguard were there, which the kids were excited about, because they know some of the highschool students. There's Jaxon. What a little stud.
Nomadic Smitties: February 2011

Sunday, February 6, 2011. Football, football, and more football. This fall, the guys were official Utes roadies! Here are some pics of the games attended:. Trae and Jax, throwing around a ball before the Iowa State game! At the Air Force game. The kids enjoyed the jets and the parachuters! And they definitely enjoyed cheering on the Utes to another victory! Summer of 2010 highlights. Walk for Crohn's Disease and Colitis at soldier field. It was really a great time! And anyone is welcome to join us! Arale...

http://smithnomads.blogspot.com/2011/07/christmas-2010.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. Christmas of 2010 was a good one! We had the usual business, but I was definitely more on top of things this year, and we had a lot of fun! We actually made the gingerbread house BEFORE Christmas, which was a huge accomplishment. The past 2 years the kids ended up making them mid-January! The outside lights however, still have not been hung on our home for 11 of our 12 Christmases together.well there's always next year! Tickets to the Rush concert! But I think Traeden did!

Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Gratitude is a mark of a noble soul and a refined character. We like to be around those who are grateful. They tend to brighten all around them. They make others feel better about themselves. They tend to be more humble, more joyful, more likable. In the Book of Mormon we learn that we should “live in thanksgiving daily” (Alma 34:38). Isn’t that a wonderful thought to live in thanksgiving daily? Can you imagine how your life would improve if you lived in thanksgiving daily?

The Leflers
Tuesday, November 3, 2009. A few stories . We have gone hiking, watched football games, cooked steaks, made soup, played pictionary, all for the sake of getting to know students. It has been a blast! In October, we organized a couple events to help build community within The Outpost. One night we had an "Agape Feast" where we cooked and had about 40 people in our house feasting and sharing God's love with one another. We shared communion, and it was a great time of fellowship and growing together. King W...
