It has always amazed me how much fun a bubble bath can be. And true to it all, my kids love them, too. It's practically a nightly affair, which is great, since this summer has proved to a particularly dirty one! And the expression on her face shows Eleni just loves them, too!

San Francisco, April 2004. This is a teenager riding a motorized skateboard. Note the handheld throttle and brake, just like a bike, so all acceleration and speed are controlled by the rider's hand. the chassis is soft enough to do hockey stops and has some give for going over bumps, curbs, etc. This memory robot is the graduate project of an MIT grad student (arms shown). Kitchen hugs before pancakes. Eleni and Clarkie spent hours in the hot tub, when they weren't reading, playing Scrabble , or reading. Did I mention Eleni and Clarkie spent a lot of time reading? They were like two peas in a pod. When Sam wears just slippers, Luc wears just slippers. When Luc wants to play in the tent, well, you get the idea. I don't know what Lou and Betsy were looking for, but Eleni wasn't afraid to get into the tub! This is the real Thomas! Sir Topham Hatt dropped by our lunch table.

Getting Settled in Seattle. After a trip to the market for supplies, we came back and made a delicious lunch to eat in the yard.
