Playlist. Friday evening. – Jake Clapp

https://jakeclapp.wordpress.com/2012/03/23/playlist-friday-evening

Playlist. Friday evening. March 23, 2012. March 29, 2012. The Bob Dylan song is performed by Dierks Bentley. This is one of my all time favorite Dylan songs and has been covered far and wide. Here are my favorite covers of Senor (Tales of Yankee Power): Willie Nelson’s. And Jerry Garcia’s. If you listen to the Garcia version, grab a hankie. Since you have the hankie out already, here’s another gem. Not yet, but this guy has it in him and all signs are pointing to guitar greatness! Enter your comment here.

In the Shop, May 19, 2015 – Jake Clapp

https://jakeclapp.wordpress.com/2015/05/20/in-the-shop-may-19-2015

In the Shop, May 19, 2015. May 20, 2015. The past few days have been productive. I finished my router table, which meant installing the drawer slides, the clamp knob, and putting cam locks on the drawer faces. The primary purpose of the locks is to keep the drawers, with all of your precious router bits, from opening and losing their contents while in transit. The finished router table. The cam locks. Pretty easy to install, pretty easy to break into. Monday’s hand-cut dovetail. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

In the Shop, April 27, 2015 – Jake Clapp

In the Shop, April 27, 2015. April 29, 2015. Much of the first quarter in the cabinet shop is spent building a router table, which we will use in subsequent projects. Teachers everywhere are searching desperately for ‘authenticity’ in their curricula, and here is a brilliant example. Two of the things that will make our router table work are a) that it has a completely flat table top and b) that this top has completely parallel front and back edges. 1) Sand it flush. Time consuming. Dusty. Address never ...

In (and out of) the Shop, May 27, 2015 – Jake Clapp

https://jakeclapp.wordpress.com/2015/05/27/in-and-out-of-the-shop-may-27-2015

In (and out of) the Shop, May 27, 2015. May 27, 2015. There is lots of woodworking happening right now. 3) In school, between the huge router table project and the frameless cabinet project we had to build a box-joint jig for our router table and with that jig build a fastener (screws and nails) box. I loved this project. Small, cool and tight joinery, lots of little techniques scattered throughout. The jig works like a charm! More soon on the frameless cabinet…. In the Shop, May 19, 2015.
