Like I said earlier, we do have English Heritage membership, so more castle are inevitable I'm afraid! On bank holiday Monday we went to Portchester Castle, which really isn't very far from here. It was a very windy, but very mild day, and although a little cloudy at times, the views were amazing from the top of the Keep. Just a couple of moody castle shots:. On Sunday we went to Wings and Wheels (at Dunsfold Park) with my parents (had bought Dad tickets for his birthday present). The weather was brilliant, as were the cars and planes! I was finally able to see the Vulcan fly, and given my links with the RAF, the Tornado GR4 display was one of my favourites. All in all a fab day out, and I'm very tempted to go again next year! Other blogs we like.

This weekend Jake asked Mike to take the stabilisers off his bike, so we took them to the local park as it has a brilliant little "road" area away from the proper cycle paths where kids can practice on their bikes. The tales of the higby family. Wednesday, August 04, 2010. A superb week in Pembroke. We had such a great week on holiday near Broad Haven in Pembrokeshire in July. We stayed in a friend's caravan which was great fun. As soon as we unpacked it was straight down to the beach for fish and chips and a run about. There are so many great days out in the area, not to mention the lovely coastline. This was a game of Frizbee Golf. Which Matthew and Jack were both rather good at! Theme park was fantastic!

There was even a chance to have their faces painted which we managed to time just a few minutes before the judging! The result was 2 happy boys coming away with prizes.
