in a crowd - jenn

January 12th, 2010. Saturday night. this is my birthday party. there are 500 people here, dancing and drinking and having a great time. I feel completely alone. 2010-01-12 04:39 pm (UTC). This is the third post I've seen (from different people) that says the same thing. Sounds like you have plenty of company. Happy birthday, eh? 2010-01-12 05:05 pm (UTC). Although, i did manage to be in the bathroom when they sang me happy birthday, which is tragic and hilarious and just about perfect.

Don't agree with it?: abortiondebate
http://abortiondebate.livejournal.com/392273.html
Don't agree with it? I think I've heard people say things like "Don't agree with abortion? Then don't have one." Now, in my mind this seems like an incredibly simplistic way of looking of things. To those who don't agree with abortion, abortion is murder, an act which takes away the rights of a second party. Whereas saying "Don't agree with gay marriage? Then don't have one.", getting married to another person of your gender for sure. Then don't murder." or "Don't agree with theft? Post a new comment.

Stem Cell Research: abortiondebate
http://abortiondebate.livejournal.com/392632.html
Scientists can now destroy embryos with federal funds, in the name of research. Does this weaken the prolife side of the debate? Especially since this was done (according to President Obama), to "restore scientific integrity to government decision-making". Georgia has introduced legislation to try and protect embryos - defining them as people and prohibiting their destruction, and this would seem to be one defense, assuming it becomes enacted. aborted fetus organ transplants: abortiondebate
http://abortiondebate.livejournal.com/392908.html
Aborted fetus organ transplants. Kidneys and livers from aborted foetuses could be given to the desperately ill and ease the organ donor shortage. A leading scientist has claimed. Professor Sir Richard Gardner, an Oxford University stem cell expert, said foetal tissues may offer a more realistic solution to the lack of organs than other technologies being developed. What do you think? Is there anything immoral about using organs from aborted fetuses to save lives? Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

Post-abortion syndrome: abortiondebate
http://abortiondebate.livejournal.com/390555.html
I've heard the argument of "post-abortion syndrome" in the past, and wondered if it was still being used. It's particularly interesting in light of the most recent look. Into the supposed affliction. Were there any prolifers here who used this as an argument against abortion? Does this change any minds? Post a new comment. Comments allowed for members only. I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? An oldie but goodie. Do you consider abortion to be the easy way out of a pregnancy, and thus potential future parenthood? Safe, legal, 100% unapologetic: abortiondebate
http://abortiondebate.livejournal.com/390241.html
Safe, legal, 100% unapologetic. Doesn't it seem that even giving an inch on abortion (late term limits, etc) implies that the fetus is in fact a human or developing human with full rights, and thus any abortion would in fact be murder? I made a comment recently that this might be the first time in 10… - jenn
http://jenn.livejournal.com/309385.html
September 28th, 2010. I made a comment recently that this might be the first time in 10 years that I've completely moved into somewhere I was living. No half-unpacked boxes lurking here and there; things are put away on shelves and in drawers; furniture is actually arranged and not just placed. For 10 years my life was being poised to move again, soon. Things went on shelves and in drawers without any thought or deeper understanding as to why. 2010-09-29 12:59 pm (UTC). 2010-10-14 03:08 am (UTC).
