A different view of the WI in Gloucestershire. Tuesday, May 22, 2007. I've just been writing my bit for the newsheet, about the request for Executive nominations for 2008-2010 and came across. In today's paper. It seems to me that many of the reasons outlined in the article are exactly the same as the ones which prevent us from putting ourselves forward for committees and from taking up other opportunities which come our way. Why not consider putting yourself forward for the new Executive, then?

It was lovely to see so many friends at the Textile Treasures Exhibition yesterday, and one or two more at other times during the show. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. For the last 85 years, a WI meeting has been held in Siddington, and last evening I went along to join in the celebrations. Can you guess who the speaker was? Wednesday, March 29, 2006. Now we're into British Summertime (! I think I can be forgiven for falling for a couple of bits to lighten up the warm clothes that I'm getting a bit tired of. Wednesday, September 27, 2006. This is the most hectic week I've had in ages: Mark's been in New York, having fun with friends and hearing great performances of music by his favourite Joachim Raff. So in the odd free half hour here and there, what do I do but gather a few things from the garden and put a kind of arrangement on the table to make me feel like I'm still keeping it all together at home. It began witha few conkers I collected from the Waitrose car park, but needed a bit more and a bit more.
