Wednesday, September 18, 2013. My time in Nicaragua with Soccer Without Borders has begun! It is hot here, in case you were wondering. . Hopefully this pic fits? I arrived Sunday night with Boss/Friend Mary. We headed to Granada, found the house were staying in, and rested. We are staying with a family that has supported SWB and hosted visitors for years. With each investment on our part, the family adds extra bedrooms to the house. Its nice! Ill keep you up to date as more comes along. . Copa de La Paz.

Sunday, September 22, 2013. Copa de La Paz Part 2. Yesterday was International Peace Day. In order to celebrate, our staff put on an all girls soccer tournament in one of the outer neighborhoods in Granada. 18 teams participated. We split each of our 4 teams in half, and we invited schools from nearby communities. For the most part, this tournament was the first time many of those girls played together as a team.
