One day they approached their father to ask if a gentleman is born that way or if a gentleman can be made from someone that is not a gentleman. The king asked his sons what they thought, and naturally the opinions of the two were different. So he gave them a challenge. Each of the sons had a week to find proof of what he believed. The first son was lucky. The second son was not so lucky. The point was crystal clear.
