spangled: November 2013
http://spangledblog.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 17, 2013. In the spirit of November and Thanksgiving, I am grateful for awesome friends. I have long-distance friends that I've had for a decade (or more! Some I met within the last few years with Aaron's job, and some I'm just now getting to know and think are pretty awesome. One of the perks of living in Utah, is that there are lots of young moms with young kids, and often with similar interests as me. I always have something to do, and can find someone to hang out with =). This time o...

Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Catching up on projects. Decorating is never done. Especially when. you're me. I made my headboard a few months ago. Our bedroom is almost. I'll be posting final pics on that soon. Here was our living room. it was coming together except for this dang light. which you can't even see really well but I've always hated it. The style just wasn't right and Aaron wasn't stoked about me spending a lot of money for a new light. I like it, I don't love it, but hey. $15? They had to go.

Friday, September 20, 2013. It was decided a few months ago that I would run the Red Rock Relay down at Zion's National park. FYI this race is just like Ragnar. FYI Ragnar is a team of 12, each person running 3 times, over about 36 hours continuously. So I did some mediocre training, since I am not a "runner." And I was nervous but hoped it'd be more fun and not painful. Here we are (Kanani got cut off there at the bottom) before heading up to our first exchange. The 12 of us! Kara was impressed after Do...

Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Having a newborn is awesome. I spend half my day breastfeeding while meandering social media such as facebook, instagram, and pinterest. and now I'm kinda burned out. Oh and the other half of my day is spent changing diapers. But this baby is perfect. I've already had to wash our comforter, our pillows, every outfit he's worn, and his bedding. He's had that many blowouts. I love my boys. Moving on to the next vent: I still follow lots of people in the fitness industry because i...

Sunday, December 30, 2012. We headed up to Yakima, WA to my hometown to spend the holidays with my family. So great. Lots of noise, lots of kids, and lots of things to entertain Carter. In fact, I barely saw him. But it's always so fun to be around family. Before we left town, we opened the majority of the Christmas presents we got each other in our little family. Carter got a tool set from his Grandpa Dave. He was pretty stoked about that. Some shots of us getting ready to go sledding! The TJ Maxx in Ya...

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Hi peeps. New blog here! Same stuff, new look =). And a new address. take note! We made the move to McAllen, TX. I did not know where this was as you may not either. The most southern tip of the state before it turns into Mexico. that's where we're at. 5 minutes from the border and we are the only white people here. Besides the other guys on the team. We're still getting situated and whatnot, so here's some recent pics of my babies. Carter and Mason love each other, really.

Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Back to busy real life. This time of year for us is CRAZY. We're so busy but having fun so it's okay. After our Cambodia trip, we were so happy to see our babies again! My parents are the best, for watching Carter and Mason for us. They were in great hands! Carter still asks to go back to Mimi's house. He misses having 5 extra kids to play with! Mason is such a happy baby! He's mobile, doing the army crawl like Carter always did. He's been really excited about his birthday.

Friday, February 22, 2013. Update on the kiddos. Here's an overload of pictures for ya'll. I'm one of those moms that has nothing much to talk about but her kids =) That's okay with me for now. since that's the reality of my life! The hubs is gone in Texas (for 3 weeks! So it's been a challenge keeping sane with a newborn and a toddler that's potty training. But my kids are alive. sooo. success! First day back to church. You can't see the dark circles under my eyes. but I assure you they are there. Carte...
