Earth Dance Art: October 2013
http://earthdanceart.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Landscapes and abstract paintings in watermedia inspired by the Earth. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Circles in Fields II, a new watercolor. This little watercolor was commissioned by a friend to cover an inconvenient hole in the wall. What better motivation to paint? It made me laugh during the process and was a fun work to create. Yeah! Earth Dance Art: Circles in Fields, III
http://earthdanceart.blogspot.com/2013/12/circles-in-fields-iii.html
Landscapes and abstract paintings in watermedia inspired by the Earth. Sunday, December 8, 2013. Circles in Fields, III. It's nice to create using the grid again. This is a 6"x8"1/2 watercolor painting using reds, yellows and greens and the colors were suggested by my friend, K. The white is actually left over latex wall paint which goes on heavy and spatters well. I've been looking at composition ideas and experimented with the Fibonacci spiral with the center of the spiral being the blue dot.

Earth Dance Art: Gelatin Print: Seat of the Soul
http://earthdanceart.blogspot.com/2014/11/gelatin-print-seat-of-soul.html
Landscapes and abstract paintings in watermedia inspired by the Earth. Sunday, November 2, 2014. Gelatin Print: Seat of the Soul. This is another Gelatin print using the circle and lettered stencil. I like experimenting with the random placement of lines and circles while contemplating where is the Seat of the Soul? The local placement of a non-local spiritual concept is inherently paradoxical and that makes me laugh. It's here. No, it's here. No, it's over there. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Earth Dance Art: November 2011
http://earthdanceart.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Landscapes and abstract paintings in watermedia inspired by the Earth. Tuesday, November 22, 2011. This is an 8"x10" watercolor created by allowing watercolors to flow into each other. Details include toothbrush splatterings and placing puddles of color and tilting the paper. I've always wanted to paint the Cosmos and this one is moving closer to that goal. Earth Dance Art: February 2015
http://earthdanceart.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Landscapes and abstract paintings in watermedia inspired by the Earth. Tuesday, February 3, 2015. This is an abstract monoprint created using the Gelli Plate on paper. I made stencils and masks and used bubble wrap for stamping and lifting. Making these prints is fun, they flow, one idea leads to another, and they can have the freshness of sketches.
