The art and code of james bobowski. Two experiments in a row, one with code, another with diffuser films, resulted in a spectacularly psychedelic tube light. Originally inspired by the not-yet-build "The Gene Generation" lights, which eventually were build as the Berlin-inspired tube lights, this piece is one of the few I turn on when company comes over. It's that impressive. Flowing space nebula spectral pattern. Fast moving, single color spectral fade.

However, I never ended up wearing it to that concert, which turned out to be a good idea - that place was hella crowded! It has now been re-purposed as a Burning Man wearable art piece. The art and code of james bobowski. Streamline moderne acrylic tower. I've always been a fan of the late art deco period where it begins to become quite minimalist yet not quite Googie. I built a disc tower using 3/8th inch clear acrylic and these fantastic aluminum standoff hardware pieces. Running down the center is a massive piece of Endlighten, which I avoid using normally due to cost. This piece is a work in progress as the not all the lights have been installed.

Generic Pixel Experiment' is a small Processing application used to prototype various types of procedurally generated visualizations on a grid of simulated RGB LEDs. Currently, it generates patterns using trigonometric functions and Perlin noise. Perlin Noise built into Processing. Sine of the distance to the center of the grid with an increasing scale variable. Sine of x and y with a small multiplier. Sine of x and y with a large multiplier.
