Monday, 29 March 2010. Heres a photo of the tallest Guatemalan I could find. She works at the school and has 8 children. A mayan language is her first indigenous language and Spanish her second. The younger generation tend to speak Spanish as their first language, but you can still hear the local dialects in the market. It sounds a bit like Gaelic! Thursday, 25 February 2010. The iguana in the video is dinner for the family, or I could have bought it for $2.50. On Fridays they can't eat meat as they are Catholics (which is I think is fact), so instead of fish fridays its Iguana. Apparently they are illegal to catch but it seems to be part of the diet here. Ive seen quite a lot so hopefully not endangered. Im travelling to Guatemala next week as have heard of another project there. ALso here is a tiny lizard similar to ones that you see everywhere.

Monday, 31 May 2010. The last blog; costs and tips. Im back now and just been looking over accounts to get a breakdown of the costs over the past 5 months in Central America, written some tips too. Boring unless you're going to go. Flights were $900 for round trip to Managua(nicaragua) from Edinburgh. It cost around £2300 for the 5 months including return flights to central america.
