A couple of years ago, I damaged the right eye cup of my beloved Nikon Monarch birding binoculars. Ever since, I have been unable to adjust between naked-eye viewing (eyecup extended) and eyeglass viewing (eyecup retracted.) It was a pain in the butt I switch between contacts and glasses all the time. Then I decided to kick it old-school and contact the manufacturer.

Restorations

Restoration of historic bows is quite a responsibility in that you want to keep the character of the work intact. So any work you do on a historic bow has to preserve the hand of the maker. Restorations can bring a historic bow to a state of integrity and service appropriate for its age. It must be accomplished discretely to preserve its integrity. Because of the time required to complete this often delicate and intricate work, restorations are available on an appointment-only basis.

Each bow is made to fit each client, the instrument, the player's style and his or her own personal aesthetic. There are two questions to consider when commissioning a Kanestrom bow:. What sound does a player want to draw out of a specific instrument? What playability is desirable in the new bow?
