當硬碟的空間動輒都在 2TB 以上，或者是主機板內建的 RAID 也普遍被使用之後，安裝 Windows 就不在只是下一步、下一步就可以搞定了。 因為新設備採用 RAID 5 配合四顆 2TB 硬碟之後而變成 6TB，為了能順利安裝 Windows 2008 R2，浪費了不少時間。 最主要是因為傳統 MBR 不支援單一磁碟超過 2.2TB，為了要解決這個問題，可以先參考以下文章:. Windows 2008 R2 Direct Access. 這一陣子有被問到一個問題，如果使用者人數比較少的情況下，是否可以用 Windows 7 Enterprise 的版本來當 Server，而不要使用 Windows 2008 R2 Standard 版本? 這個問題我個人真的覺得很棘手，因為 Windows 7 和 2008 R2 的 Kernel 是相同，看起來似乎沒有甚麼理由步讓客戶用 Windows 7 來當 Server。 就在尋找文件過程中，忽然看到一個 Windows Server 2008 配合 Windows 7 的 Direct Access，這個功能實在讓我眼睛一亮，之前因為公司資安的策略，因此只能想辦法透過 SSH 的 Tunnel 的方式，但這樣都要做很多的設定才能使用。 而看到 Direct Access，說穿了就是虛擬的 VPN 架構。 Http:/ technet.microsoft.com/zh-tw/library/dd637827(WS.10).aspx.
