I am having the worst time trying to drop the pounds, I of course blame a lot of this on being southern and liking to eat yummy food packed with calories. It was a busy but fun weekend. Highlights include a whole foods lunch and movie with my friend Heather.trail run with Susan and Kevin.party in Adams Morgan for my friend Aaron who just returned from Afghanistan. and soccer today. Hope is the thing with feathers". Sunday, December 6, 2009. First Snowfall of the Winter! I woke up yesterday morning to a beautiful snowfall. Thick, heavy flakes fell all day long yesterday. Perfect way to usher in the Christmas season. I got a tree on Friday night and my friend Katherine helped me decorate - I made batches of sugar cookies and ginger cookies yesterday with my friend Heather and today am just enjoying the seasonal decorations, etc. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A blog of chance. Sunday, March 21, 2010. Little girl growing up. My sweet girl is growing up, she is almost a year! I plan on writing C.'s birth story soon, I promised a friend that I would do it months ago and never did, but since she's turning 1 on March 23, now seems like a good time to do it, of course I'm sure I will cry the whole time I am writing it, seems like motherhood makes you more susceptible to bawling your eyes out (and I thought pregnancy was bad)! Hope is the thing with feathers". Saturday, February 13, 2010. James arrived just ahead of 'Snowmaggedon' and 'Blizzard 2010' that hit Northern VA last week. The first storm began Friday and dumped two feet of snow (30 inches in Baltimore! The second storm hit on Tues and lasted until Wed. night. It was a true blizzard - we probably got 8-12 inches but it was hard to say because of the wind and drifts. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). James Goes to China. More for the cook in you. Hope is the thing with feathers". Sunday, April 19, 2009. Half-marathon, wedding fun! My friend Kevin and I ran the Charlottesville 1/2 marathon yesterday. I finished in just under two hours. The course was the same as last year - I had forgotten how beautiful the countryside is in C-ville! Thanks to Jordan we had our packets just in time!
