A qwriting.qc.cuny.edu blog. September 8th, 2010. While reading St. Augustine’s. A word that is often repeated but not clearly defined is the term. Could refer to a physical weakness, but I believe that St. Augustine uses the term as meaning a moral weakness. While reading Schachter, I came across the word. I’m not completely sure if that is a correct synonym, but that’s what I think of when trying to figure out what it means, plus it’s easy to remember because they rhyme.
