Adventures in Travel, Development and Law: Tales of the Alhambra, Madrid and Skipped Flights
http://niameynights.blogspot.com/2009/10/tales-of-alhambra-madrid-and-skipped.html
Monday, October 26, 2009. Tales of the Alhambra, Madrid and Skipped Flights. So coming into Granada, when will and I learned that there was absolutely NO available hostals in town, we thought 'oh, hey, we can camp.' Then we checked the weather. And we were assured by weatherunderground.com that no rain was coming. So we went for the camping option. We ended up staying in Granada. For four or five days. Granada is a nice place. I think it might be the capital of the bohemian. That guy had. Traveling a...

Adventures in Travel, Development and Law: August 2010
http://niameynights.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 7, 2010. What a crazy, great thirty hours my trip to Jacmel was. Hands on typically has a half day every other Saturday so volunteers can rest up and potentially travel to see other parts of Haiti. Last Saturday myself and a group of seven other volunteers set out for a seat of the pants trip to Jacmel. About 3:30 pm we left the Hands On base and walked to the tap-tap station and after a quick search of "Jacmel? So as it was all working fine, something. Nobody stopped for about half an h...

William Travels: First of the Videos
http://williamtravels.blogspot.com/2009/08/first-of-videos.html
First of the Videos. I present my villagers saying goodbye to me and saying hello to all of my friends and family back home. This is Illa, he was my landlord and neighbor. The setting is just outside of my house. I spent a lot of time with his family. In the background is Chaibou (next to the cart) and Moubarak (the little one to the left). I can't promise I'll transcribe them all, but this one is short. Illa: A gaida guida. August 31, 2009 at 10:29 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Corps de la Paix.

Adventures in Travel, Development and Law: July 2010
http://niameynights.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 29, 2010. Disaster Risk Reduction and Sandy Beaches. All work and no play makes international relief volunteers dull boys and girls, so Hands On gives their volunteers every Sunday off to recover from the week and enjoy some of what Haiti has to offer. For most people this means beaches! Of course there are the waterfalls and cute coastal towns as well, but I’ll have to get to those a little later. We introduced ourselves and HODR, though most of them new of us from the construction of the...

William Travels: Homecoming
http://williamtravels.blogspot.com/2009/04/homecoming.html
From Kokowa - Traditional Wrestling. I'm going home to America for 3 weeks. I must admit that I frightened. It will be the first time I have left Africa since I arrived in July of 2007. Wow! I haven't really decided what all I'll be doing (or more importantly eating) but these things will come together. Going slowly doesn't prevent one from going. Things are still going well with the student governments, but nothing major to report. Ryan, Tim, and I did a radio show. Traditional Wrestling - Kokowa. Wowi ...

Back on the 'Interwebs'. From Student Government Elections- Primary School Sherkin Haoussa. I'm sorry it's been so long without a new update. Things around here have been really busy. I've uploaded pictures from both of those and you can see them here. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe to receive updates in your email or feed reader. My na...

William Travels: April 2008
http://williamtravels.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
If it left on time, it left about the time my alarm went off at 4:30. Not sure why I set my alarm wrong. So, now I'm in Niamey for another day. I really want to get back out to my village. I have a soccer game on Friday, but this time on the internet allowed me to do a bit of tinkering to the blog. You'll notice I changed the banner. It's a lot less boring now, thanks Jermey. For the help with that. I also helped Jeremy add some features to his blog. With our powers combined true nerddom can be achie...
