Megan Corkhill: January 2009
http://megancorkhill.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, 22 January 2009. Once I had laid all my work out in front of me, I found collage popped up a few times across a few disciplines of design, such as packaging and illustration. These collages were scanned in and worked with on screen. As this was the most common way of working for me, I chose to design my identity based on this. All in all I like to think I have covered every base and no one has any trouble navigating around my site. I was then able to begin planning and organising measurements&#...

Thursday, 12 February 2009. I have been researching into the company to give me a broader perspective on their ethics and image. I have been looking at the logo, and the arts impressions of the new building that we are designing the Illustration for. I am now much more aware of the scale that it is going to be projected onto. . I am very aware that I should be alot further than I am with this so I'm defiantly prioritisong this brief at the moment. Tuesday, 10 February 2009. After neglecting this brief ye...

George Russell, Vis Com: Cracking on!
http://grussell-viscom.blogspot.com/2009/03/cracking-on.html
Now I'm finally back from Christmas, I've been getting on with the creation of my portfolio website. I kept looking over Christmas at different websites and formats, etc. and I'm now satisfied that I've seen almost every style and format possible! I've gone with a simple HTML based website because I wanted to make it easily updatable and accessible but because I wanted to have an element of animation or fluidity involved, I will integrate some javascript into it. Sounds interesting, I know!

My portfolio I feel needs a bit of work done to it, but I will wait for my feedback ready to apply for when I take y portfolio to the final show. I can now focus on my professional project! Charle Hole Photo Shoot. As requested by Jim Cregan, we all went out on a photo shoot down the beach with Charlie to get some shots of him on location for the press pack and his website. Here are a selection of some of the shots we got from that day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Things That Amuse Me. Animator Vs. Animation. Tony Vs. Paul.

Vis Com iii, Illustrative Based. This Visual Communication poster is purely based on the illustrative studies involved in the course. As you can see the theme still applies to this piece, three iii's representing the third year but in a sketchy, rough design, as if it has just come out of a visual communication students sketchbook. Here I basically used an artists brush stroke from the stroke palette in illustrator. Simple! Vis Com iii, Screen Based. When the red and green 'i's merge, they create yellow,.

Megan Corkhill: December 2008
http://megancorkhill.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 12 December 2008. WEBSITE STUFF / INTERIM CRITIQUE. The image clearly represents me and how I look. It also relates to past illustration I have done. However I don't want to be seen as entirely an illustrator. I like to think I have skills in a wide media and I want this to be reflected through my website. People liked the name PegLegs although there were doubts from Neil, and a point was made as to whether or not I would like this name and logo to represent me in 15 years time? I found this pres...
