Hewnoaks Residency Summer 2015. I am very excited to announce that I have been selected for an artist residency at Hewnoaks Artist Colony this summer. I am looking forward to my residency to focus on both the beautiful area landscape (including the White Mountains nearby), and also doing some digital sketching on my iPad. Solo Exhibition at gWatson Gallery in Stonington August 2015. American Landscapes Exhibition August 2015. I have been juried into the American Landscape.

These are the studio paintings created as a result of investigating these destination landscapes. These are the digital panoramas of some of the sites for the project, which emphasize the sweep of the space. These tondo Polaroids conjure up the format and sometimes tonalities of early Kodak prints, while also referring to the palette of tourist snapshots of the Polaroid cameras. A collection of smaller paintings that evolved out of the project.

I am currently a Vice Chancellor Research Fellow in the astronomy group at The University of Sheffield. As part of my Ph.D. I studied the non-relativistic outflows of active galaxies in the hope to determine what causes these winds, and what effects they have on the immediate region surrounding the active nucleus. My work on this continues via the study of emission lines from highly ionised species that we have shown to be outflowing at speeds of up to 1000km/s from these systems. . S3 7RH, U.K.
