On this page I am posting a few images of Lincolnshire which mean a great deal to me. This is Cleethorpes pier. In my lifetime it has been a theatre and a nightclub. It is a fantastic building and I would love to see the town revived as a major shopping and gastronomic destination with the pier at its heart. When I was a little boy, the schools in Grimsby where I was growing up converted from grammar schools into comprehensives. This was Labour party policy and Grimsby was, and still is, a fundamentally Labour town.
