Narcissistic Echo: February 2014
http://jamiehixon.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Because that's what a blog is. Am I right? Sunday, February 23, 2014. The first weekend of February was great. My family came to Arizona for the weekend, and everyone stayed with us. In our house. It might seem like something that would make me crazy, but I thought it was the best. Everyone got a room except for Tracy. (Sorry, Tracy.) And Jess couldn't come. We missed him. After touring the temple. It is so beautiful! She doesn't miss a thing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Gilbert, AZ, United States.
Narcissistic Echo: The inevitable follow-up
http://jamiehixon.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-inevitable-follow-up.html
Because that's what a blog is. Am I right? Sunday, February 8, 2015. Ok, now that I've got everyone nice and concerned, let me just clarify and explain a few things. But seriously, Dan is amazing. A break, I think of how nice it would be for them. 6) I did not mean to say that bringing a meal is not helpful. It is very. Can you understand how or why I might be a little stressed? FYI we have a feeding specialist coming tomorrow (YAY! It is ok to be frustrated and honest and put it out there and vent for e...
Narcissistic Echo: July 2014
http://jamiehixon.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Because that's what a blog is. Am I right? Monday, July 14, 2014. I forgot about this event until recently. There are several more that are on the list that he does not. Have, and we are grateful. For instance, every case I have read involves feeding problems and/or failure to thrive. Ezra has always eaten well (thanks to lots of trying and non-traditional positioning) and has grown beautifully. Rocking the helmet. I kinda like it white. How will it affect Ezra? How will it affect our family? Merry Chris...
Narcissistic Echo: Utah Start to Finish
http://jamiehixon.blogspot.com/2015/07/utah-start-to-finish.html
Because that's what a blog is. Am I right? Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Utah Start to Finish. The first week we took it pretty easy. Gwen woke up in the middle of the night two nights in a row. Once was just coughing, the next time she threw up. Dan felt sick on and off. We were tired. So we ended up hanging out with family, going on a very few outings, and binge watching Marvel Agents of Shield. Gwen tried to stop the water jets with her feet, Asher went around punching and kicking the water. We went back to ...
Narcissistic Echo: Adventures with Ezra and Easter
http://jamiehixon.blogspot.com/2015/04/adventures-with-ezra-and-easter.html
Because that's what a blog is. Am I right? Saturday, April 11, 2015. Adventures with Ezra and Easter. On Thursday I had an appointment with a GI specialist for Ezra. It was at a Mesa location for Phoenix Children's and when I drove up I thought "I remember this place! They almost re-weighed him because he weighed less than their previous records of him. You know, the records they had from over ten months ago. I had to confirm, yes, he does weigh less than when he was four months old. So I told her I'm no...

Rid-ga?: Frauenklinik Dr. Geisenhofer
http://claronandamanda.blogspot.com/2012/08/frauenklinik-dr-geisenhofer.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Frauenklinik Dr. Geisenhofer. The hospital that I delivered Gideon at is in the middle of the English Garden in Munich. This is basically like the Central Park of Munich (but it is actually bigger than Central Park). The hospital is lovely. It is a converted estate. I took this the day that we left. Of course, it was raining but surprisingly had only rained once during my stay. Holy moly, this hospital is gorgeous! I love that you can sit out on the patio with your baby and relax.

Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Adventures of the Tiny Cat. Adam was here less than 24 hrs when he had his first "incident." He had diarrhea (with blood) in the middle of Eliza's bed. Claron was furious! She gives me a very vague answer. I say no. I was told the neuter would cost 80 Euros. A couple of hours later, I get a call. Adam is ready. I go to pick my little guy up. She gives us more food to try. I get the bill. 240 Euros! After Eliza's ballet class, we go to pick up his records. What do I get? After all o...

Thursday, October 28, 2010. New Commandments (and Proverbs) for Hixon kids. Thou shalt not wear athletic socks to church. Thou shalt not text while driving, including “just checking to see who it is from”. When thou kneelest for family prayer, thine shoulders should be higher than thine hips. Thou shalt not speed. Slamming thy bedroom door only serves to increase thy trouble. When thou removest thine shoes from off thine feet, do not leave them in the kitchen or entry. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Thou s...
Share Time: Soothing
http://davidhixon.blogspot.com/2011/01/soothing.html
Thursday, January 27, 2011. When Natalie heard that Erika got a shot yesterday, she commented, “When I do that, Mom HAS to go with me.”. Kara is in Utah this week, so I suppose a little “motherly longing” is in order. But I asked, “Why? Couldn’t you just go with me? She said, “Mom holds my hand and tells me that it’ll be OK. No offense, but her voice is so soothing.”. Don’t worry, no offense taken hearing that my daughter’s soul is greatly calmed by her mother’s voice. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friday, March 23, 2012. Last week in the Rewe, I came across this:. Normally, I'd pass by, but I was feeling frisky; so, I bought one. Oh.My.Gosh! They are sheer deliciousness. I hid this in the car and was savoring it every time I took a trip. One day, I was feeling generous and offered some of my stash to Claron. In less than a kilometer, Claron devoured the entire thing. I bought him one for his birthday and again, GONE! Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Announcing the Newest Ridge. Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

Thursday, December 29, 2011. Merry Christmas from Germany! Eliza had a great Christmas. Her big present was a bike (which she is still learning to ride). Monday, December 12, 2011. If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the shoulders of giants. Isaac Newton. Monday, February 21, 2011. While my Lauren was preparing her Valentines for the kids in her class she asked me how to spell one of the kids name. I don’t remember what name it was but after I spelled it she giggled and told me I was wrong. She dug into her backpack and found her class list. She told me the. Posted by Stephen A. Hixon. The fell clutch of circumstance. One Year in One Post. Time to catch up on my blog. It has been over a year since I wrote a post, and a lot has happened in that year. Here is a condensed recap, month-by-month:. December 2010: I did not get the job. It was for the best, but I was pretty upset. I had to reorganize my finals so I could take a family trip to California for a funeral. Christmas was pretty standard- just the way I like it. April 2011: The Sock Drive took up most of this month. One of my ke...

Because that's what a blog is. Am I right? Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Utah in June: Week One. We just finished up a fun week at my parents' house. It is a great time to get out of the desert (we missed some major triple digit heat), and it is always wonderful to be with family. I snuck one little picture before they served the breakfast. Hello yummy yogurt. The library had this display that put you, as art, into "book pages" on screen. Cool. Digging" bones and putting them together. We tried Hruska's again o...
