Waitsfield Village Path | Mad River Path

From the north end of Waitsfield, starting at the General Wait House, the Path goes south to Mad River Green following the sidewalk through historic Waitsfield to the Green Cup, where it runs along the river and over an old earthen berm, which was used historically as a dam to power local mills and to collect river ice in winter. It continues along Route 100 and then crosses over to traverse around the Town. Pond (Be careful crossing Route 100 here!
