Monday, 14 March 2011. Celebrating 100 years of GF Smith paper. I chose this as my final design due to the fact that at the begginnning of the brief in my sketch book i stated that three elements that i wish to take into my final design will be abstract, clean and pure. Therefore i believe i have managed to capture these elements in this design. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sean Dineen/Graphic designer: February 2011
http://seandineengraphicdesigner.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 25 February 2011. To inspire myself i have been looking into nature and the way in which patterns and shapes form without being tampered with. A strong example of this is in the way in that sand flows through the strength of the wind. After looking into this i then started with an A4 sheet of paper and began scoring into it with cutting all the way through. This enabled me to create drastic curves to resemble the dunes. Here is a couple of examples that i created. Peter Callesen. Inspiration.

http://seandineengraphicdesigner.blogspot.com/2011/03/development.html
Monday, 14 March 2011. Due to the fact that i was interested in the triangular piece i had created earlier, i decided to develop this further and start building on and around it, here are some images from early on in the process. Here you can see the inside of the shape and how i have connected each triangular shape simply using glue. Inside view. i discovered that star shapes began to form. I then decided to hang it to see what it looked like from a different perspective. View my complete profile.

Monday, 14 March 2011. Further development on my final piece . Although the sculpture i have created is aesthetically pleasing, i knew that it would be hung in the atrium which is a huge space in the university and i didn't want my piece to look lost and instead make quite an impact. Therefore i continued developing and allowed my sculpture to grow. First sculpture is based on a 10cm width by 10cm height. Second is 7.5cm width by 7.5cm height. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
