We left Semuc Champey thoroughly tired and returned to San Cristobal around 8pm. With entry for foreigners of only Q50, around 4, and tours from Coban every day from many different operators I would thoroughly recommend a visit to those passing through Guatemala and the falls are a popular spot for travellers. In the coming weeks I should have some news for you about the beautiful waterfalls at Semuc Champey and Tikal, the Mayan ruins in Guatemala’s northern province. But for the moment, a chance to catch up with some of the other realities of San Cristóbal life. Everyone seems to be ill!
