Monday, August 23, 2010. Mike died this afternoon, as he wanted - at home, with me, his sister, and his Abby beagle at his side. Friday, June 25, 2010. The best news of all is that Mike's appetite is improving and he is starting to put on some weight. This will help with his overall strength and hopefully get him in better shape to enjoy the time we plan to spend with family on Cape Cod at the end of July. Monday, May 17, 2010. More really great news! We just got back from Mike’s appointment with Dr. Otterson, his medical oncologist. He said Mike’s CT scan looks great. The radiated areas are much improved (which we knew from the meeting with the radiation oncologist last Friday), the main mass in the right lung is smaller and there are other multiple areas that also look smaller. Monday, July 19, 2010. Mike Chooses Another Clinical Trial. The clinical trial of course has side effects and risk factors, but there's also the chance that this will be a drug that works on his cancer.
