Responsible for the local administration is the commitee of Lungnak Association, whose members come from the villages on the way to the pass of Shingo-La. The honorary committee gets voted every two years. Currently the committee is confronted for the first time with the task to enable the eight class pupils for a continuing education outside Zanskar.
