Laquo; Lagos, Portugal. Italy Spring Break Part 1: Amalfi Coast. Posted April 13, 2010 by janalevinson in Uncategorized. So after being here for a while I have obviously noticed some things that are different. Here is the list that I have compiled thus far:. 1 Cars stop dangerously close to pedestrians on the street. 2 Everyone lets their dogs poop on the sidewalk and then they leave it there. 3 Most dogs are not on leashes. 4 Ham is put on everything! 5 Shades are on the outside of windows. 20 The PDA (...

Laquo; Italy Spring Break Part 2: Rome. The Final Trip: Morocco. Gran Canaria, Canary Islands. Posted May 4, 2010 by janalevinson in Travel. I don’t know how many of you have ever been to European beaches, but some of them are MUCH different than beaches in the US. After going to the public beach a few times this weekend, I have come up with a list of things that I am pretty much okay never ever seeing again:. 1 European cut bikini bottoms (except possibly on models, but that’s the only exception). You a...

I am a junior at the University of Wisconsin studying Communications as well as Gender and Women’s studies and I am using this blog to document my semester abroad in Seville, Spain. I will progressively be posting every few days to talk about my experiences in Seville and my travels throughout Europe. I’m a first time blogger and I’m still getting the hang of things, so try to bear with me here. Thanks for reading and I hope that you enjoy it! 2 responses to this post. Posted by Bubbie Marks. Posted by janalevinson in Travel. On Saturday morning we had breakfast at the hotel and then went to take our stuff to check in at a hostel. CEA was only taking us to lagos for a day and we wanted to stay for the rest of the weekend. Our hostel was actually amazing, but I’ll get to that later. After we went back to the hostel to shower and change we went out to dinner at a place called Don Toro. We all had great meals and then came back to watch Role Models in the common room of the hostel. We we...We ha...

lex in london: February 2010
http://lexinlondon2010.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. A full week in london? I've been seriously lax on posts recently, so with this one I hope to catch up and get myself back on track-ish, or at least to the point where I don't have two weeks' worth of things to be blogging about. Sorry if you feel an urgent need to keep up with my life as it unfolds, this week has just been obscenely busy. When I finally got home around 11, I had no trouble falling asleep instantly. Saturday, February 27, 2010. When we got back to the hostel our...

Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Brighton: The Jersey Shore of England. Last Friday I went on a day trip to Brighton. As you should be able to tell from the title, Brighton is the British equivalent of the Jersey Shore, except not in the sense that there is an overpopulation of "guidos" and "guidettes," but rather in the sense that people go there to sit on the beach, eat junk food, and go out and get drunk on the beach at night. Thursday, April 8, 2010. A whirlwind tour of prague. After the club we decided it...
lex in london: Last Post from London

Friday, May 7, 2010. Last Post from London. I know it's been a long time since I last posted, and that's largely because I've been getting ready to leave. I'm on the train to the airport now, about to head to Spain. The past few weeks have been fun, I won't go in to a ton of detail now but the highlights:. I went to see Hair and one of the actors came through the seats and laid his head on my bosom. Also, we got to dance on stage. Jason got stranded in Italy and then returned after 3 days on trains.

lex in london: January 2010
http://lexinlondon2010.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 31, 2010. The past few days I have been nursing a completely wicked sinus infection that has left the right side of my face in miserable pain and my nose looking something like a coked-out Rudolph. Obviously, this has been an incredibly pleasant experience. However, in order to reduce myself from feeling entirely useless, I have still tried to be a little bit out and about these past few days, or at least as much as I could. Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Once again, I promise to get better a...

lex in london: March 2010
http://lexinlondon2010.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 15, 2010. Paris, Nice, and everything else from the past week and a half. So I'm at an all-time backup on blog posts, so I will warn you right now that this will most likely be a long post. Anyway, I'm going to go back to last Wednesday, the 3rd of March (eek) and then go from there. Cool? The salad was probably the best I've ever eaten with goat cheese, bacon, apples, and this sweet vinaigrette dressing, and the steak had little chopped up pickles in it (that's a dealbreaker, ladies! Tuesd...
lex in london: the most observant passover ever!
http://lexinlondon2010.blogspot.com/2010/04/most-observant-passover-ever.html
Monday, April 5, 2010. The most observant passover ever! I just got back from Prague, but in an effort to get caught up on blog posts, this is going to be all about last week in London and the post about Prague will come soon. Don't worry, it's all part of the master plan. Last Monday was the first night of Passover. Instead of having a seder, however, I went to see Phoenix play live at the Roundhouse in Camden. I was able to justify this in several ways. For choosing to come to WISCONSIN. Excited for he...

http://lexinlondon2010.blogspot.com/2010/04/rosenblooms-do-london.html
Friday, April 2, 2010. The rosenblooms do london. Once again, I have been severely lagging on the blog posts, woops. I guess I have just been trying to make the most out of my last few weeks in London (a thought that utterly terrifies me). On Sunday I went to my first football match! Monday my parents got here! I'm still about a week behind on the blog, but I'll cut myself off here and catch up later. Things to look forward to : Phoenix concert, passover "seder", and more! A whirlwind tour of prague.

Janae Moss - Choose Happy
Your Mom Goes to College. March 10, 2018. These two I barely got my younger kids not so young, and then grandyoungs filled the House! I never had a big break from little kids, and so instead of feeling like being a GiGi is a huge next phase, it’s more like a snuggly blanket that brings even more love and light. I feel so blessed to have Emma and Grace added to Team Pink Moss! Last night we went to Disney on Ice and they dressed up in their best formal gowns. I still believe that, but dang it’s hard.

Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Neuromarketing ( psychological ) [11/30/2010]. When people think of SUV's, they think of domination. This is why these vehicles seem more intimidating and big; the people creating the products made vehicles bigger, with tinted windows to appeal to the "domination" feeling needed from the cars for the consumers (Rapaille). Branding/creating a culture around a brand [12/3/10]. Branding creates an identity. Wikipedia notes, "Some people distinguish the psychological aspect, b...
Jaña en España | Semestre en Sevilla
Posted by janalevinson in Seville. This past Wednesday the Sevilla soccer team beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 in the Copa del Rey aka the Kings Cup. After hearing and seeing drunk, screaming soccer fans in the street on the way to dinner on Wednesday night, we were fully aware that Sevilla had won. Besides the occasional chanting from fans and celebratory honking of cars, there wasn’t much more going on. Word of the day: campeones = champions. And now for the most delayed post of them all: Feria. After the cas...
