Sydney and Kaden both had Christmas programs this week. Sydney had her annual band Christmas concert. We were excited to hear her play her solo that she had worked really hard on. Baseball is in Full Swing. Baseball has started again and this year Kaden is on the White Sox. He has moved up to the minors and is enjoying every minute of it. Grandma Camp was another big success, and everyone was in attendance. All of the Grandkids where divided into groups for sleeping, meal prep and cleanup. There were service projects, scavenger hunts, games and plenty of memories. Sydney starting the swim. Kaden completing the swim. Sydney was able to march in her first Parade this last week. It was Riverton High Schools Homecoming. Kaden's school also was able to line up along the parade route. He had fun cheering her on. Kaden participated in his first Pine Wood Derby. He named his car the Night Glider. It took him a week to design it, after he cut it out he spend a couple of days sanding it to be as sleek as possible. Then we spray painted it to perfection. He took third place in the wolf devision. Steffensen's Come to Visit. This week the Steffensen's came to visit. Sydney and Kaden have been looking forward to this visit for a long time. For our first adventure we hiked up to the sink canyon waterfall, at the beginning of our hike we ran into a bull snake right in the middle of the trail. When we got to the top a few of us soaked our feet in the freezing cold water. On Wednesday we headed out to ride 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. There were a few entertaining wrecks, but everyone had a good time.

Sydney Has Been Busy. A few weeks ago Sydney had the opportunity to go compete in State Science Olympiad. Riverton Middle School took first so now she has the chance to go compete in Nationals, which is in Lincoln Nebraska this year. She is very excited. She is a hard worker and loves to learn. Monday, June 1, 2015. Ella's Birthday #12 and a trip to the Beach. Ella's birthday fell on Easter weekend this year. I wanted to get out of town and down to the beach, so we did. Since we weren't going to be home to sing her a Happy Birthday, I made her German Pancakes for breakfast and we sang to her then. After Shad got off work, we hurried down to the beach.
