Monday, March 2, 2009. We had a great Valentine's Day. We started out the weekend decorating sugar cookies. The kids always enjoy it, even though they do not like them. Both Anika and Aiden had parties at school. And Aiden really enjoyed giving his Transformer Valentines. How did you talk him into a maid! It's been fun to keep up with your family! Friday, November 26, 2010. The Perfect Tree 2010. Why does it take us 2 hours to find a tree to cut? I'm sure the one we ended up taking home was one of the first ones we saw when we got there. Is there some kind of disorder that both Travis and I have that makes us think we have to see every single tree in the whole freaking farm before we can truly be satisfied with the one we originally liked? My Cup Runneth Over. Sunday, November 13, 2011. Family Pictures on a budget. So last year, and actually this year as well, we didn't have a photographer or the funds to get a photographer. We attempted our own family pictures with our handy dandy point and shoot camera. Oh and Pete's mad timer skills. Here are a few of our outtakes. It was pretty hilarious, mostly to us. One of those you had to be there. . . .I guess. But hey, in the end one worked out and the Christmas cards got out on time.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Welcome to Wisconsin. and that's about all I have to say about that. (although we did pick up some super yummy squeaky cheese). Then to Mitchell South Dakota and a visit to the Corn Palace. It was a pretty cool sight to see. Much of the building is constructed, both inside and out, of dried horn cobs/husks, wheat, grains, etc. Not sure why we stopped at Wall Drug. Now the more popular Mount Rushmore. My Cup Runneth Over. Thursday, February 18, 2010. It has been snowing SO much here this year. I LOVE it. If it is going to be winter, then bring it on. I'd rather have the beautiful snow instead of grey, dirty slush, yuck. The other night after dinner it was snowing huge snowflakes so we got all bundled up and went for a walk. When we got home all of our pants were soaking wet so we striped them off and the 3 of us were walking around in our skivvies. . .it was a funny scene. Tuesday, February 16, 2010.
