Jay and Karen: The California Years: January 2011

http://jandkcali.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Jay and Karen: The California Years. Our lives in Southern California. Sunday, January 9, 2011. Our trip to see the Extended Dean Family in MA started with a sleepless red-eye to Dulles, a canceled connecting flight, and a 24-hour separation from our luggage. But, when we saw Grandpa Dean in his Santa hat waiting for us at the Logan baggage claim, we knew things were looking up. Lucas' 13-hour marathon sleep session the first night didn't hurt either. Some of the highlights in pictures:. L-r): Jay, Lucas...

Jay and Karen: The California Years. Our lives in Southern California. Monday, March 28, 2011. The Dean family is on SPRING BREAK! Sam visited Lucas and Phoebe in the babyroom at the Willows on Friday, the last day before break.what a treat! We're so proud of Jay for running the Aguora Hills half marathon in 1 hour and 56 minutes! Besides learning how to brush his own ...

http://jandkcali.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Jay and Karen: The California Years. Our lives in Southern California. Monday, December 13, 2010. We are so grateful for you Elvira! Saturday, December 11, 2010. Countdown until winter break! Lucas is excited about his new expedition backpack and expressed his enthusiasm by flailing his arms in the air around the neighborhood! Everyone we passed thought Lucas was waving at them! Little do they know this is his signature move! Have you ever seen a cuter pair of pajamas? I wonder what Santa will bring?

Jay and Karen: The California Years: November 2010

http://jandkcali.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Jay and Karen: The California Years. Our lives in Southern California. Sunday, November 28, 2010. Thanksgiving Adventures in Minnesota. Our week in Minnesota to visit the Roligs for Thanksgiving was, as expected, quite eventful. Lucas experienced his first snowfall, went sledding for the first time (and looooved it! Karen and Jay got out on a few dates, as well, enjoying breakfast at the Edina Grill, dinner at Broder's, and a night at the movies (the surprisingly solid "The Next Three Days"). We went to ...

Jay and Karen: The California Years: #1. Our Friends

http://jandkcali.blogspot.com/2011/09/1-our-friends.html

Jay and Karen: The California Years. Our lives in Southern California. Sunday, September 4, 2011. Finally. The long-awaited completion of "Jay and Karen's Top 20 Things We Miss About Los Angeles" post. Drum roll, please. (insert drum roll). Number One: OUR FRIENDS! With each day that passes, it becomes more obvious that Karen, Lucas and I will be firmly entrenched in this strange Midwestern land for the foreseeable future. For example, we just bought a house. Love, Jay, Karen and Lucas.

Langenfeld Family: Jack's First Dentist Appointment

http://langenfeldfamily.blogspot.com/2009/11/jacks-first-dentist-appointment.html

Friday, November 20, 2009. Jack's First Dentist Appointment. Jack had his first dentist appointment almost a month ago. Things looked pretty iffy at the beginning, but he warmed up to the hygienist and she managed to get all of his teeth polished up. He even did well with the dentist. He asked Jack how many teeth he had and he said 20! They were surprised at his answer—I guess nobody's ever answered correctly. Smart boy :). Jack checking out his teeth and deciding that he didn't want to have them cleaned.

Langenfeld Family: Trick-or-Treating

http://langenfeldfamily.blogspot.com/2009/11/trick-or-treating.html

Monday, November 23, 2009. Here's our cute little fireman! He had a fun time trick-or-treating this year. We made it to over a dozen houses and he never complained. He did ask to be carried at the end when he was pooped out, but also asked to go to a few more houses before we made it back home. The reflective parts made it hard to get good pictures, but they're still cute! Look at those abs! Taking a break in somebody's yard. Tired and ready to be done! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Langenfeld Family: Picking Out Pumpkins

http://langenfeldfamily.blogspot.com/2009/11/picking-out-pumpkins.html

Monday, November 23, 2009. Picking out pumpkins was a pretty low-key event this year. We skipped the animals this year in an effort to avoid a repeat goat incident like last year. Jack didn't feel like sitting still by himself for pictures so we took turns with him. Jack and I picked out small white pumpkins and Josh got a regular orange one. We're not artistic carvers, so I'll skip posting our masterpieces this year! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Langenfeld Family: Pine Tree Apple Orchard

http://langenfeldfamily.blogspot.com/2009/11/pine-tree-apple-orchard.html

Friday, November 20, 2009. Pine Tree Apple Orchard. Wow I am getting really bad at posting stuff here. My dad and I took Jack to the apple orchard a month and a half ago! He had no interest in the apples or taking a tractor ride, but he did enjoy running up and down the hill. There were some guys playing folk music that he took an interest in for awhile, too. Too afraid to jump into Grandpa's arms. Posing in front of the enormous tree. We're a pretty cute bunch. I think this was during the music.

Thursday, February 18, 2010. Is there a cuter kid out there? Ok, I am a bit biased but come on! Who could be cuter? In one month West has learned to walk, play in toilet water and brush his teeth(among other useful skills). Lately, I have been referring to him as my Little Engineer. Toys play second fiddle to household items he can take apart and put back together. It won't be long before I can put him to work for the family! I guess I'll wait 'till he can say more than, "Hi, i-die.". Time calls for many...
