My landlady and I communicate quite well, despite limited language knowledge on both sides. Opting for a share house experience in middle-age, in a new country, with limited language knowledge is not everyone’s idea of a good time, but I chose the experience with an open mind, positive attitude and thought it’s got to be a good way to kick-start my Spanish.
