Griffinink Studio Notes: May 2012
http://griffinink.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 12, 2012. We are Meant to Shine. Light", paint markers, calligraphy, gouache on canson paper, 2012. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask, who am I to be brilliant and wonderful. Actually, who are we not to be. We are meant to shine. We are born to make manifest the light of the spirit within us.". Text adapted from Marianne Williamson quote). Http:/ www.et...

Griffinink Studio Notes: January 2012
http://griffinink.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 24, 2012. We must first save our planet. We must first save our planet. We will then be able to save ourselves. When I read this quote I thought to myself, well, THAT MAKES SENSE! Seriously, I'm 51 years old and can honestly say that I spent my younger years thinking that. I would grow, my parents and siblings would age and time would go by and. The world I lived in would stay the same. And so yes, we MUST save our planet if we want to save ourselves. I should say, I MUST. Well, it's off...

LangLangCreations: Recycled Bag Tutorial
http://langlangcreations.blogspot.com/2008/06/recycled-bag-tutorial.html
Sunday, June 29, 2008. I had some time to sew a while ago and found myself not wanting to do anything too serious. I had a stack of old clothes sitting in my bedroom waiting to be repurposed and a number of little people in my life are starting school. So, I was inspired by them to make kiddie messenger bags. Here is my excited model:. Here are more calm pictures of the girl wearing the bags. This one went to her cousin in Prague. This one went to her super cool friend. Rock 'n Roll, baby! I finally got ...

The Scribbling Post: Formal Uncials
http://thescribblingpost.blogspot.com/2014/02/formal-uncials.html
Sunday, 2 February 2014. Another half an hour to myself whilst the little one is napping, so I picked up my pilot pens and had a go at formal uncials. This was done with a 2.4mm nib, purple ink and a 4 nib-width x-height. I used for my reference a section from Gillian Hazeldine's. This is not a script I am at all used to working with, but there's so much you can do with it, with a little bit of creativity. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Lesley the Letterist: Thank You
http://lesleytheletterist-lesley.blogspot.com/2011/07/thank-you.html
Monday, 25 July 2011. Hey, I know I was warned about putting original designs onto the Internet, but having had so much inspiration from seeing other artists' works in progress and final designs in all kinds of mediums I felt it was a way of contributing to this treasure trove of art sources. I have thoroughly enjoyed http:/ clientsfromhell.net. Which I found a link to from CJ Kennedys. 1 the artist will ever see what has been stolen and marketed under another name. My Photo Journal Blog. http://thescribblingpost.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, 6 February 2012. I have been terribly remiss about posting the last few weeks; not because I haven't got anything to show for myself - in fact I've been doing lots of lettering - I'm just lacking the time to take some pretty pictures and post properly! How to save an Envelope. Stay tuned for some photos of recent work, just as soon as I have five minutes! Labels: Calligraphy tips and tricks. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
