Sometimes it hits me. It hits me that he’s different. Sometimes it hits me and I realize I don’t know him and I want to. I tell him I love him but does he even get that? Does he even know my name? He never says momma. Sometimes it hits me that he’s not like the majority of us. When I look around at all the other ones, the “normal” ones I wonder, “what’s that like? Rdquo; When I leave his preschool for autism and look around I wonder, “what is normal? Would I change my little guy to be like the rest?
